They have been attracting a lot of attention to Seattle, which makes the Cullens decide to intervene.Bella figures out what's really happening. The Cullens promise that it's imminent. This book concerns the tension between Jacob and Edward for the fair Bella's hand. The discussion is still open as to whether Jasper or Edward will do it. But the Volturi return anyway, and are displeased that Bella has not yet been changed. But Edward is old-fashioned and doesn't want to "do it" until he has her promise of marriage. He says he'll change her IF she marries him; he buys the ring when he sees her resistance fading. Finally, we have the drama of Vampire Victoria returning along with 19 other "newborns", people she has herself changed in order to become part of her army of revenge.
We have more silliness and innuendo when Jacob has to warm Bella in the sleeping bag while the chilly Edward can only watch and be noble. They get the vampires in the end. He is SOOOO mature and self-sacrificing.
We have contemporary silliness over marriage--how it's so uncool for an 18 yr old to get married--what will Renee say, for instance. We have exchanges between Jacob and Edward that sound for all the world like the chatter between girls.
She's made her choice for Edward; in fact, the Cullens have agreed to change her by graduation. Her emotions are over the top--she is one unstable chickie-poo.
Plans begin for the wedding. The romantic heroine wants Edward to be the one.
She continues to pressure him.
Meyer's acknowledgments, which you have to read to know why. The only thing lacking is with the action and fight scenes. I loved Eclipse, and almost as mush as Twilight. Suspenseful, romantic and frustrating all at once. which could be more involved and descriptive. I love a good cliffhanger, and this does not disappoint, and I love the new dynamic between the characters. I cannot wait to see how the story ends, and I especially loved Mrs.
this book is awesome and couldn't put it down and then had to jump right into the last one :)
I'm assuming it a great book. She never leaves the home without her blackberry and her Twilight series. She hasn't done this for any other set of books. I bought this book for my wife as a present for her birhtday. She has been glued to it and hasn't let go of it for days.
You have to read them in order. but in order of course. Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and then Breaking Dawn. Loved the book, it's really gotten me into the whole Twilight series. Would absolutely recommend this book to anyone.
